Public debt per capita

Methodological background:

The value of the total debt is divided by the total population. 

Remarks:

Debt figures are expressed in current dollars. The values refer to the end of each fiscal year (March 31st). 

Population figures are the Q2 population estimates.

The data is added for the previous year. For example, data for year 2022 represents the values from end of Q1 2023 (March 31st).
